Spring 2000: High Tech Treasure Hunt with GPS!

Imagine learning about satellites and maps while looking for hidden candies...  Lots of fun!   Thirty kids from Brighton Middle High explored technology and its potential during this unique Treasure Hunt sponsored by the BU Department of Geography.


GPS (Global Positioning System) is a little device that, by communicating with satellites, can tell us our exact location on Earth.


This tree happened to be at the exact latitude and longitude where treasure was supposed to be...
